Garin was born in 1922 in Odessa, Russia. He is perhaps the most influential
contemporary seascape artist.

Garin is best known for his

by the Russian
painter Peter Effremovich Fedatov
during his youth in
Odessa, Russia and
later by the works of I. K. Aivazowsky, Garin has

painting technique that had restrained artists for years.
